Hispanic Outreach for People with Disabilities in Employment
The HOPE project provides information, materials, assistance, and trainings on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to serve the unmet needs of Spanish-speaking communities under Title I (Employment) by conducting in-person workshops, webinars, and information dissemination in English and Spanish. The HOPE project serves communities living in the Great Lakes ADA Center Region (IL, IN, MI, MN, OH, WI).
The HOPE project builds upon and expands the ADA National Network ‘Spanish Language Outreach Project’, which is a national collaborative involving the 10 ADA Regional Centers and the ADA KT Center. The HOPE project focuses on employment and civil rights information for Spanish-speaking disability communities and creates ADA regional resources tailored for Spanish-language communities. The project engages in outreach and collaborates with community members such as people with disabilities, families, and community leaders in Spanish-speaking communities in the Great Lakes region.
